However, even in prison, the enemies targeting Honki never cease. After repeated attacks by remnants of the Shuyukai, Maji lost a young man, Issei, whom he had taken as his apprentice in the prison. When Honki is eventually released from prison, he is confronted by a new enemy, the TARUMA clan, which has its sights set on Nagisa's territory. The gang's leader, Daruma (Tetsu Watanabe), has taken up with the head of the Kaze and plans to eliminate Maji, a young but charismatic figure with a strong following.
